Rapid Coagulation and Sedimentation

Description

The process of removing turbidity, sediment and Slurry circulation and harmful matters is termed at clarification. There are Slurry Circulation and Solid Contact type. Normally, this constitutes the first stop in pretreatment system. It is a system with 3 kinds of processes namely Mixing, Coagulation and Sedimentation within a single basin.

Raw water fine and dispersed particles enters the system where it is mixed rapidly with the chemicals. This mixing coagulates finely divided or colloidal suspended matter into large particles that will settle rapidly. Accelerate setting can be accomplished particles for further agglomeration

Slurry circulation type can produce consistence water quality (suspended solids and organic coloring matter) regardless of the drastic change in raw water quality. As for solid contact type, it can remove chemically harmful matters of turbidities by rapid coagulation.
