Pressure Filters

Description

They are designed either vertically of horizontally. There are also various kinds and types of pressure filter (PF) using different type of filter media. Sometimes, a combination of two or more types of filter are in use within a system.

The vertical type is commonly used for small and medium capacity while, the horizontal type is for large capacity and low-headroom area. They can be designed for either manual or automatic operation.

The PF is filled with one or more layers of filter media depending upon its application and design. Periodic cleaning of the filter bed is essential to maintain its effectiveness. Ocassionally, air acouring facilities ate installed to allow better scrubbing action among media grains without losing them down the drain.
